Jesi – The Junta yesterday afternoon decided to approve the intervention of replacement of public lighting poles along Viale della Vittoria, with others, newin aluminum.
The intervention follows a process started by the Administration in December 2022when the technicians of JesiServices – the company that deals with public city lighting – had carried out astability analysis on the poles, identifying 22 of themamong the over 60 present, in precarious conditionssuch as to suggest immediate decommissioning to safeguard public safety, located in particular in the stretch that goes from the Mercatini car park to the Erbarella traffic light.
On this occasion the company had removed some of the poles and temporarily stabilized others, bridling them with special concrete blocks so as to continue to guarantee the street lighting.
After last year’s temporary solution, the Administration is now ready to replace all the poles with new aluminum ones.
The workers will work with contained foundation plinths that minimize the impact.
The intervention represents the first step of a much broader process voted in full restyling of the area and the city road axis, which will be the subject of the initiative next weekend “The Avenue I would like. A story about the future”, preparatory to the start of the shared planning of the retraining of one of the most important arteries of the city.
Two days of conferences, scheduled for 13 and 14 June, at the Galleria Freddi, in which we will talk about the origins of the Avenue and visions of the future.
A participatory project that involves the involvement of citizens and collaboration with the School of Architecture and urban planning of the University of Camerino, which have the aim of starting a path of participatory planning that starts from the needs of the city.
