A special gift, which certainly does not go unnoticed by tourists and the many curious people who pass through the historic center of Bari every day. A box in front of the door, with free branches, leaves and flowers. “The plants are a gift, take them,” reads the message from one of the residents, who prefers to avoid the media spotlight.
The original presence pops in Verrone street, in old Bari, one of the alleys undergoing major redevelopment thanks also (and above all) to the commitment of Strada Santa Teresa dei Maschi committee. In fact, it is the citizens who take care of the care and decorum of the street on a daily basis. The residents of via Verrone actively participate in the committee’s initiatives, cleaning the street from cigarette butts, waste paper, even beer bottles abandoned on every corner (where, they explain, there is still a lack of waste bins). The donated seedlings, therefore, are just one of the many initiatives of the residents, activists of the committee.
