The collaboration between Virtus Basket Molfetta and DS Mauro Lot ends
After years characterized by important successes, Virtus Basket Molfetta announces the end of the relationship with DS Mauro Lot who, from next season, will no longer hold the role of Sports Director for the white and blue club. A choice shared between Lot and the club which accepted the DS himself’s need to leave Virtus for purely personal reasons.

Mauro Lot was a pillar of the blue and white club, protagonist of the rebirth of recent years. By mutual agreement it was decided not to continue the collaborative relationship, which in recent seasons has, however, produced important sporting growth for the club. Thanks to his experience, preparation and passion, Lot contributed strongly to the achievement of the objectives set by Virtus.

Several championships won: from the first Serie C Gold in the 2020/2021 season conditioned by Covid, with the only regret being the national play-off lost in Sicily; until the excellent 2021/2022 season whose success was not crowned due to the final lost against Corato; the outcome of the 2022/2023 season was different with the promotion achieved in the Interregional Serie B, beating Monteroni in the playoffs; without forgetting the last season full of just as many successes where the white and blues’ path was interrupted only in the playoff semi-final against Orlandina, the same team that then gained access to the National B in the final.

Virtus Basket Molfetta thanks Mauro Lot for the precious work done, wishing him a good career continuation, but above all leaving the door open for him, with the hope of seeing him soon working for the white and blue colors of Virtus.
