We have always been those from Cattabrighe, via Po… recognized by a simple geographical toponym. Now finally the primary school of Cattabrighe of the IC “Dante Alighieri” has a precise name, that of a teacher, educational director and man of the school such as Elio Tonelli. The naming ceremony was moving, cheerful and participatory: many parents present, the director Alessandra Zacco, the former principals Margherita Mariani and Mara Morosini who understood and therefore indicated the significant importance of this name, the neighborhood representatives and, above all , the entire Tonelli family, moved by listening to the presentation made by the school children and reading the poems created by the older students. This is an excerpt from the children’s readings: “… Elio was first a very young self-taught student, during the day he worked as a barber and marble worker to support the family and at night he studied by candlelight, then a teacher in his town of Mondolfo, mayor of the same town.Finally, educational director in many different schools and above all in Pesaro, where he ran the 5th Circle for 15 years, which later became the Educational Directorate of Cattabrighe 1967, as written in our research, distributed by children at the entrance. And the choice of name is consistent with our pedagogical orientation.
