Jannik Sinner was welcomed by a large crowd at the Sesto Town Hall, where the local authorities, fans and onlookers were waiting for him who, despite the rain, had been there for more than two hours. The champion signed the register for honorary citizenship of the Municipality of Sesto. Sinner showed up in a blue cardigan, white shirt, dark blue trousers and white sneakers to embrace the people of his homeland as the number one in world tennis. “I’m very happy to be here, my whole childhood was here in Sesto and when I was little I remember the time spent playing in the village with friends,” he added, speaking in South Tyrolean dialect.

In front of the Town Hall, the world number one in tennis signed the Municipality’s golden book. For the ritual photo, Jannik posed together with the mayor Thomas Summerer, the president of the autonomous province of Bolzano, Arno Kompatscher and the sports councilor Peter Brunner.
