Bagheria, Filippo Tripoli wins again in the elections

In Bagheria he wins, againFilippo Tripoli. He will still be the mayor of the municipality of Palermo after the triumph at the polls with 71.40% of the preferences. A victory, perhaps, never in doubt, but no one would probably have thought of such a clear margin. Like 5 years ago, Tripoli emerged victorious in the first round, avoiding the run-off and its pitfalls: as in 2019, it won in the first round.

Success at the polls

The outgoing mayor was supported by the lists: “Freedom, change of course”, “Let’s unite Bagheria”, “Popular base”, “We change, it will be better”, “Bagheria Open city”, “Bagheria at the centre” and popular Bagheria”. In the end the percentages were large and do not accept replies: he was re-elected with 71.40%, followed by Tommaso Gargano with 17.65%, supported by 4 centre-right lists: “Forza Italia”, “Movimento Siciliano d ‘Action” and “The Kite”. Immediately after came Pina Provino, supported by the New Christian Democracy with 6.97% of the votes and finally Rosario Giammanco with the civic list “Bagheria Libera” with 3.98% of the votes. Voter turnout was on average with the rest of the country.

The words of the mayor of Bagheria Filippo Tripoli

Filippo Tripoli commented on the final figure with balance: “For me this victory It’s a big responsibility – he declares – We have been consistent and have maintained the connotation of the civic list. We won because we look people in the face. I thank the entire coalition.”
