Santangelo meets the students, resources for scholarships at Adsu

(REGFLASH) Pescara, 11 June. – The issues of the right to education and the problems related to the provision of scholarships were at the center of the meeting that the councilor for university research, Roberto Santangelo, had with a delegation of students from the three Abruzzo universities. “The discussion with the students – said councilor Santangelo – was positive from various points of view and in fact opens a new season in relations between the Region institution and university students. The students brought to the table a series of issues and critical issues on which the Abruzzo Region has long since launched a reorganization policy which involves the approval of new regulatory instruments”.

The payment of scholarships was the highlight of the meeting. To the students, councilor Santangelo confirmed that “the regional offices have paid to the Adsu the sums that the regional council has allocated to them for the scrolling of the scholarship rankings, for which – added the councilor – in the next weeks the scholarships will be paid to all beneficiaries based on what is established by the Adsu when scrolling the rankings”.

The passage on scholarships then allowed the councilor to underline “how important the Council’s decision to finance the scholarships with ESF funds is, because in this way, with the certainty of resources, we can start programming without particular worries”. But if the topic of scholarships has its relevance, it is the political aspect of the discussion that councilor Santangelo wanted to underline at the end of the meeting. “In fact – he said – we have given rise to forms of collaboration aimed at producing new services and improving the conditions of usability of current ones. In the coming weeks – concluded Santangelo – new meetings with other delegations of university students are planned”. (REGFLASH) IAV 240611
