Foggia returns to Europe with Furore. This time 38,237 votes brought the M5S activist from Foggia to Brussels, now also the provincial coordinator of the Movement.
“Foggia is among the five Italian cities in which we have achieved the best results”Furore remarks upon returning from the meeting with the leader Giuseppe Conte, who summoned the elected representatives.
The president congratulated him. “There was a big hug that moved me”. In light of the disappointing result at a national level, the former prime minister of Volturara Appula honored him and recognized the personal result of the MEP, who improved his performance compared to 2019 despite the low turnout.
He uncorked and celebrated in the very central committee of Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Foggia only when the result was now incontrovertible and its official confirmation.
“Foggia has given a lot to the M5S and we probably need to start from places like Foggia to relaunch the Movement”says Furore to FoggiaToday. “The symbol is no longer enough”he admits.
In the capital city he rode the long wave of the municipal elections, but he is convinced that he has also intercepted votes outside the M5S: “The people voted for me”.
