Following investigative activities carried out by Officers and Agents of the Judicial Police Unit of the Municipal Police Force of Benevento, a subject, a public employee serving in Benevento, was reported in a state of freedom to the competent AG of Benevento.
From the activity carried out by the PG Unit it emerged that the subject, having been sanctioned in the month of March 2024, had presented an appeal in self-defence for the cancellation of the report of violation of the highway code, attaching a permit intended for disabled persons and declaring that that day he was at the service of the disabled person.
From the documentary evidence acquired also with the help of another Municipal Police Command, it was ascertained that the disabled permit was registered in the name of a person who had been deceased for over two years. Summoned to the offices in via Santa Colomba, he was unable to provide any plausible explanation and was therefore reported.
The control activity of the Municipal Police, declares Commander Pugliese, takes place not only on the road, but also on the appeals and declarations provided, as well as on the use of the permit reserved for disabled people, in order to protect the interest of the institution and honest citizens.
The person concerned by the provision is a person subjected to preliminary investigations and therefore innocent until a final conviction is reached.
