An “exceptional transport” was stopped by the State Police because it was without authorization last week.
It did not escape the attention of the Agents of the Alessandria Traffic Police Section – Acqui Terme Detachment, a large heavy vehicle twenty meters long, three meters wide and with a total weight of 720 quintals, which occupied both lanes of the Alessandria ring road .
After being stopped, the driver tried to justify himself by reporting that he had taken the wrong road, but from the document check it emerged that he did not have any authorization to transit on state roads in the province of Alessandria.
The driver received a fine of €866.00 and his driving license was immediately withdrawn due to suspension, while the large heavy vehicle was taken to a suitable place and subjected to administrative detention for a month; further infringements also against the technical escort who was not supposed to allow transit.
Furthermore, both the owners of the heavy vehicle and the transport contractor were fined.
Precisely in recent weeks, controls have been intensified against this type of specific transport which is subject to specific authorizations by the Province and ANAS, as their circulation, exceptional in terms of mass or size, is regulated so as not to create danger to road safety.
