It’s a really nice way to remember history and strengthen our attachment to the values of our democracy, as well as to communicate them effectively. Your work is also an important tool that allows us to rediscover, through the history of Matteotti’s family and its origins, our territory and the identity of our land of Autonomy”.

The initiative of class IIIAborn under the guidance of teacher Elisa Podetti, was illustrated by the girls who signed the winning entry entitled “Me, Matteotti house” and which were received by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella: Elvira Casolla, Melissa Gosetti And Carolina Piazza. The illustrations were created by Elena Maini and Camilla Puller. The entire class also collected some interviews in the area, and then told the story of the Matteotti family directly from the house in Comasine, the scene of the most personal and intimate events.

Words of pride and satisfaction were also expressed by the mayor of Peio Alberto Pretti who had invited the students to participate in the competition, by the president of Giuseppe Ferrandi Historical Museum Foundation and by the manager ofAlta Val di Sole comprehensive institute, Franco Vanin. “The school is open to proposals coming from the area. In this way the children had the opportunity to do research, delve into their history and cultivate their memory” explained the Professor Podetti.
