With over 84 thousand preferences (almost 52 thousand in the Marche region alone) Matteo Riccioutgoing mayor of Pesaro, is the third among the most voted in the PD list of the central Italy constituency, after the secretary Elly Schlein and Dario Nardella, outgoing mayor of Florence. Carlo Ciccioli, a psychiatrist from Ancona, former group leader of the Brothers of Italy in the regional council, obtained over 47 thousand preferences and is the fourth among the most voted in the list of Brothers of Italy, after the prime minister Giorgia Meloni, Nicola Procaccini and Marco Squarta. But be careful, an additional entrance it could spring up in the Marche for the Democratic Party, between renunciations of the seat and if the remaining ones rewarded the Center constituency. Alessia Morani (over 31 thousand preferences), former undersecretary of the Mise, the election is in fact being played out by the skin of the teeth with the Roman journalist Marco Tarquinio.

“A result extraordinary – said Ricci in a video message -. They have been very difficult months, we actually climbed Everest and I really want to thank everyone who helped me. There are many people in all four regions of Central Italy who supported me and gave me energy. They supported me. I want to thank each of them, indeed I would like to hug one by one.” “Now really the recovery begins – attacks Ricci –. The recovery begins in Europe where a large part of our destinies passes. The recovery begins for the Marche (where the centre-right governs the Region, ed.), because 52 thousand preferences arrived in the Marche alone, it is an unthinkable result. It also leaves recovery of the democrats in Italyin Europe, because these elections produce an encouraging result and now we really have to give it our all.”

On the party front Fratelli d’Italia confirms itself as the first party in the Marche and breaks through the 30% wall (32.9%) with a jump of more than three points compared to the 2022 policies (29.4%). The government allies are doing worse: the League with 8.19% slightly surpasses Forza Italia, which stops at 7.01%, but consensus is decreasing. Mirco Carloni, former regional councilor and now Northern League MP, is the fourth among the most voted on the League list in the central Italian constituency, but the over 14 thousand preferences obtained will not be enough to take him to Strasbourg, considering the party’s result. The PD Of Elly Schlein and the second party in the Marche, clearly growing, with 25.5% of the vote, five percentage points more than the 2022 policies (it stood at 20.37%). The Five Stars movementon the other hand, recorded a sharp decline, but still ranked as the third party in the Marche with 9.67%. Greens and Left Alliance exceeds the threshold with 5.72% and will elect at least one European parliamentarian in the Center constituency.

“The data from the count show an exceptional result for Fratelli d’Italia in the Marche – says Senator Elena Leonardi, regional coordinator of Brothers of Italy –. Our party has won 32.9% of the votes, well above the national average, certifying that ours continues to be a leading region. The data regarding the race of individual candidates in the European elections is also very positive.”
