LIGNANO SABBIADORO – The synchronized swimming team Syncro Cus Udine achieved extraordinary results at UISP National Championship of artistic swimming, held from 7 to 9 June 2024. This competition, which saw the participation of over 1400 athletes from all over Italyrepresented a stage of excellence for Udine’s athletes, who they have carried the name of Friuli Venezia Giulia high.

Triumph with the aquashow

The team won the first place with the aquashow with the theme “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”. A spectacular performance which saw the simultaneous participation of all 64 athletes, confirming their dominance in the category and maintaining the title of undefeated national champions for the fourth consecutive year.

Other notable results

The athletes also distinguished themselves in various individual and group specialties, demonstrating their preparation and talent in various categories:

Bronze in the Junior category only: Michelle Trombetta

Bronze in the Overall Solo category: Francesca Marin

Silver in the Duo Junior category: Michelle Trombetta and Lisa Roscioli

Fourth place in the Combined Overall category

Sixth place in the Girls Trio category: Carlotta Comoretto, Greta Bortolotto, Elena Mansutti

Fifth place in the Girls Only category: Carlotta Comoretto

Twelfth place for the Junior team out of 34 participants

With these results, the Udine team ranked at thirteenth place out of more than 50 companies participating in the competition, a highly prestigious result that underlines the quality of the work carried out.

The team behind the success

The extraordinary results obtained are the result of the commitment and dedication of a team of highly qualified coaches: Cinzia Brighenti, Elisa Rucli, Monica Bertolini, Giulia Candussi and Miriam Cavaliere. A fundamental role was played by choreographer Alessio Pieniz and Lea Masera, head of the synchronized swimming section of CUS Udine.

Special thanks also go to all the staff who contributed to making these extraordinary achievements possible, demonstrating how teamwork and passion can lead to excellent results.
