European elections, Pd “Excellent performances in Rimini and Santarcangelo”

The Democratic Party of the Province of Rimini expresses satisfaction with the result of the European elections. “Enthusiasm and confidence” are the words used by the provincial coordination: Lucilla Frisoni, Fiorella Zangari, Christian d’Andrea, Riziero Santi, Giulia Corazzi, Francesca Modugno and Filippo Sacchetti, the latter awaiting the counting of votes for the Municipality of Santarcangelo, in which he is candidate for mayor.

At a national level, the Democratic Party is the second largest party in Italy, behind Premier Meloni’s Fratelli d’Italia, with a percentage of the vote that satisfies the party’s board of directors. The local Democratic Party talks about “alarming picture at European level, where extremist right-wing extremists are increasingly advancing” and calls for cohesive work to offer an alternative. In the Province of Rimini the Democratic Party reaches 31%, second party, with a recovery compared to the 2019 European elections: the Democratic Party stopped at 25%, with a significant gap from the League.

But the Democratic Party is the leading party in Rimini and Santarcangelo, where it reaches 37%. The centre-left coalition is compact in the Clementine municipality: it is not impossible for Sacchetti to be elected in the first round, without a run-off. In fact, the centre-right forces are close to 43%.

The Democratic Party of the Province of Rimini, at the end of the note, praises Bonaccini: “Most elected candidate in our Province, even ahead of Meloni”.

The administrative votes start from around 2.15pm: the Democratic Party is playing for confirmation, in addition to Santarcangelo, also in Misano Adriatico. The “match” in Verucchio is also very interesting, where the center-left found full cohesion.
