The agents of the Local Police of Piacenza arrested a foreign citizen who on the afternoon of Friday 21 June committed a robbery against the Lidl supermarket in via Farnesiana.
The facts date back to lunchtime when a patrol from the Via Rogerio Command, passing through Via Farnesiana, was called to the attention of the manager of the Lidl supermarket, intent on chasing a man who, shortly before, had robbed the shop of some items exposed.
The officers were joined by a second patrol, thus managing to stop the man who was accompanied to the headquarters. He is a 40-year-old of Moroccan nationality with a criminal record and already known to the agents.
During the investigations it emerged that the robber was illegal on the national territory. He was reported to the judicial authorities, not only for robbery, but also for failing to comply with the order to leave the state. Not only that: the local police officers also reported the man for beating the supermarket manager, in order to escape once discovered. The Magistrate on Duty validated the arrest but released the man. Thanks to the collaboration of the Immigration Section of the Piacenza Police Headquarters, the 40-year-old was notified of the expulsion decree from Italy.
