Arezzo, 10 June 2024 – For the first time “Olmoponte Arezzo Santa Firmina” ASD celebrated the end of its football school with a big party in the green park of the Aisa Impianti spa integral recovery plant, in San Zeno. “A kick to waste” was the special event that involved around 200 children aged 4 to 13: the young footballers closed their sporting year in the spirit of being together, of the great values of sport and above all of respect for environment, health and sustainability.
The afternoon celebration began with a guided tour of the plant and the solar and astronomical observatory, in groups divided into categories: Beginners, Chicks, Little Friends and First Kicks. Afterwards, the children engaged in an hour of play in the specially set up spaces in the green area of the facility, while the little ones were able to watch the magic show of the magician Sisco. Finally at 6pm, awards ceremony for all members present.
“For us, this is the beginning of a collaboration with ‘Zero Waste’ – said Salvatore Di Bella, head of the elite football school “Olmoponte Arezzo Santa Firmina”. We have always been sensitive to healthy aggregation, the protection of diversity, integration, and also environmental values. And we always try not to ‘waste’. Like in football: if you run a lot you waste energy, it’s better to make the ball run more.”

The meeting between Zero Waste and the Olmoponte sports association is a further step towards sharing the values of public plant engineering, which belongs to everyone and can only be so if everyone knows it and understands its enormous benefits”.
