The Tufolo Farina Neighborhood Committee has raised a significant complaint regarding the exclusion of the neighborhood from the sports facilities recovery program announced by the municipal administration. This strong and decisive voice represents the residents’ disappointment and frustration at the lack of attention to their needs and the neighborhood’s redevelopment potential.

Although the neighborhood has numerous areas owned by the municipality, it seems to have been neglected by the investment plans for the recovery of sports facilities. This exclusion was a cause of great concern for the Tufolo Farina Neighborhood Committee, which questioned the reasons for this lack of consideration on the part of local institutions.

The Committee believes that responsibility cannot be attributed solely to the councilor responsible for the recovery programme. Instead, he invites the entire City Council and neighborhood councilors to reflect on their actions and political responsibilities regarding this issue.

The questions addressed to the neighborhood councilors are clear and direct: where were they during the planning phase of the investment program? What have they done to promote the redevelopment of the Tufolo Farina district? And, above all, why didn’t they point out to the City Council the importance of including the neighborhood in the recovery program?

The Committee also denounces the lack of involvement and action on the part of the neighborhood councilors in the decision-making process, highlighting the risk that young people in the neighborhood are induced to spend time on the streets, without valid alternatives such as sports facilities.

The failure to acquire some areas of the neighborhood for municipal heritage is another issue raised by the Committee, which sees this situation as clearly damaging the entire community.

In conclusion, the Tufolo Farina Neighborhood Committee calls for greater commitment from the neighborhood councilors and the entire municipal administration to address the needs and concerns of residents. Only through open dialogue and active collaboration will it be possible to guarantee a better future for the neighborhood and all its inhabitants.
