The outgoing governor of Piedmont Alberto Cirio is setting out to reconquer the Region. Based on Opinio’s instant polls, the Piedmontese president would be ahead with a range of between 50 and 54%. The challenger, Gianna Pentemero (centre-left) would stop between 34%-38%. But the confirmation of the results will take place during the day after the start of the counting which will begin at 2pm.

Challenge postponed to the runoffs for Florence and Bari and Caltanisetta. In the Tuscan capital, the Democratic Party candidate, Sara Funaro, is first with a range of between 40.5-44.5%, followed by the centre-right candidate Eike Schmidt with 32.5-36.5%. We will also go back to the polls in the Apulian capital where the PD candidate Vito Leccese – who will ally himself with the Five Star Movement – is given between 42-46% and will challenge the Northern League member Fabio Romito between 32-35%. In the Sicilian city Walter Tesauro of the center-right will return to challenge each other with a range between 37-41% and Annalisa Petitto between 30-34%.

In Cagliari and Bergamo the centre-left is heading towards victory in the first round: in the first exit poll for the municipal elections of Cagliari Massimo Zedda (centre-left) has a range between 59 and 63%, while Alessandra Zedda (centre-right) is at 31-35 %. In the Lombardy city, however, Elena Carnevali who leads the centre-left coalition is between 53-57% against 39-43% of the centre-right candidate Andrea Pezzotta.

Challenge between two women in Perugia where the centre-left is always ahead with Vittoria Ferdinandi having a range of between 49-53%, while the centre-right candidate Margherita Scoccia is at 44-48%.

The centre-right is heading towards victory in Campobasso with the centre-right candidate Aldo De Benedettis who has a range between 49-53%, followed by the centre-left candidate Marialuisa Forte with 31-35%.

Fdi, Lega and Forza Italia are also ahead in Basilicata and Abruzzo. In Potenza Francesco Fanelli (centre-right) is between 47.5-51.5%, while Vincenzo Telesca (Pd) is at 21-25%. In Pescara the outgoing mayor Carlo Masci (centre-right) is between 47.5-51.5%, while the centre-left candidate Carlo Costantini is at 34-38%.
