Trani, a football field inaugurated at the Sporting Club in memory of Guido Melega – TraniLive.it

A football field was inaugurated last Friday at the Sporting Club of Trani in memory of Guido Melega, a great sports enthusiast, never forgotten in the city for his qualities. Many of his friends, even those he frequented assiduously at school, thought of this dedication together with the president of the Sporting Club Nicola Amoruso, the entire board and his wife Barbara.

“Guido – explains his wife – is a man of great gentleness and industriousness for others, he remains alive in everyone’s hearts and continues to intercede with the fruits of his virtues, as is engraved on the plaque, blessed on the occasion by Don Gabriele Di Paola”. On the plaque you can read: “To Guido Melega, example of kindness and benevolence, sympathy and goodness, meekness and charity. He won the hearts of many and continues to make himself present with the fruits of his virtues.”

After the blessing, a soccer match between all the friends followed, remembering the old days when, at least thirty years ago, they used to get together on that pitch for summer tournaments. It was an unforgettable evening with many participants that will remain in everyone’s hearts. The family thanked everyone for the initiative.
