Turnout in Basilicata, data at 7pm: 5 mayors have already been elected

At 7pm today, Sunday 9 June, 31.56% of Lucanians voted: a figure in line with the average of the southern constituency but below the 40.06% recorded at national level. Few voters showed up at the polls only to elect only the 18 MEPs from the South out of the 76 available to Italy: in some cases turnouts between 5 and 7% were recorded. Participation in the centers called to renew mayors and municipal councils was decidedly more felt. As regards the administrative elections, in fact, the percentage of voters stands at 49.25% (it was 32.30 at 12pm). Over 48% the figure in the 42 municipalities of the province of Potenza where voting is held to elect mayor and municipal councilors also in the capital city, exceeds the 53% that of the ten centers of the Matera area at the polls. TO Power city – the only municipality in the region with over 15 thousand inhabitants and, therefore, with the possibility of a second round in this session – 55% of those entitled to vote voted.

In the five municipalities with only one list running (Indeed, Banzi, Barile, Guardia Perticara And Gurgling) the quorum of 40% of voters, necessary for the validity of the mayoral election, was exceeded: the outgoing mayors are already certain of a new mandate.
