High turnout in Piedmont, five mayors already elected in Canavese

IVREA

Voter turnout at 12pm in Piedmont, at 30%, is among the highest in Italy, with only Tuscany at 31% and Emilia Romagna at 32% exceeding the figures for our region. The province of Turin confirms the same trend, reaching 28%.

The Canavese area also follows the trend, with the turnout in Ivrea reaching 29.32% at 12pm, while Rivarolo, where voting for the municipal elections is also underway, is at 32%; in San Giorgio Canavese, where there are also administrative offices, it is close to 34%; Volpiano is at 23.55%; Pavone, where people also vote to elect the new mayor, reached 39.3%. Turnout which for the moment remains at around 25% in Cuorgnè and Castellamonte.

Record data in smaller towns such as Sparone and Ribordone, where the 50% share has already been reached. The large influx of voters to vote on Saturday and Sunday morning has already made it possible to reach a quorum of 40% in some municipalities, effectively decreeing the election of the mayor where only one list was presented. These are Alpette (42%), Ceresole Reale (54.68%), Issiglio (42.94%), Quassolo (41.04%) and San Colombano Belmonte (45%). Therefore, Pio Graziano Goglio, Alex Gioannini, Sergio Pier Antonio Vigna, Agostino Blanc and Diego Galletto are elected as first citizens respectively. They are all outgoing mayors, except Goglio who replaced the former mayor Silvio Varetto as head of the only Alpette list.
