Lecce, the interview given by Samek on his future

Daniel Samek he arrived two summers ago and for everyone he represented an absolute transfer coup, given his young age and the experience already acquired between the Czech championship and the Europa League.

The midfielder, however, has not managed to establish himself in Italian football so far, only playing in the Primavera without ever making his debut with the first team. A few hours ago he gave an interview to football.czin which he talked about his experience and his ambitions for the future:

I really want to carve out a place for myself with the Lecce shirt. I don’t want to throw away the two years I spent in Italy and I don’t rule out an experience in Serie B to mature. I think it can do me good.

Coming back

I have grown a lot and have put a lot of experience into my baggage, given that I am experiencing such a difficult championship like Serie A up close. I am very sorry that I never made my debut in Serie A with the Lecce shirt. It wasn’t what I imagined after moving to Italy from Slavia Prague.

The experience with Spring

From the Primavera I tried to take as much as possible but now I feel I have to take the next step and play with a first team. I honestly don’t know what will happen from the new season.

Future

I don’t want to go back and lose the two years I’ve done now. If not in Lecce, the option could be a loan in the Italian second league, which is also good competition. I think there might be some clubs interested.

Between championship and national team

At club level I would like to play at least 20 or 25 first-team games, at the highest level possible. I would like to improve my personal statistics and prove that I have not forgotten how to play football in two years. For the national team I would like to be considered a valid 21-year-old.

The two seasons of Samek

Daniel Samek won a Primavera Scudetto as a protagonist and last year contributed to the salvation of Coppitelli’s team. Unfortunately, he was never able to rise to the next level, despite not lacking training and call-ups with the Giallorossi first team. Perhaps, in fact, a loan in Serie B could be right for him, to grow and mature by playing continuously.
