When it comes to music being played, Siena experiences the incredible contradiction of a high-ranking gym at a professional level (Accademia Chigiana, Siena Jazz, Conservatorio Rinaldo Franci) with related university qualifications, plus other interesting realities for other genres (Rock Factory, Diapason and various schools), but there is a lack of places to play, suitable festivals and other ways to fully experience this richness.
Many questions and very few objective answers in the last fifteen years, after experiences of national importance such as the ‘La Città Aromatica’ festival and a long history of concerts in the golden years of rock. Where and how will music play in Siena and its surroundings in the near future? Is it possible to enhance creativity, social life and economic activities? The next appointment with ‘Aperidee’, the series of pre-dinner meetings created by Confesercenti Siena and aimed at merchants, consumers and institutions, will try to answer these and other questions.
The exchange of experiences and points of view is accompanied by tastings of agri-food excellence by public businesses participating in Vetrina Toscana, the project of the Tuscany Region in collaboration with Unioncamere Toscana.
On Tuesday 18 June, the Centotre Art Pizza Bar in Siena will give space to the theme ‘Music and who it revolves around – Spaces, musicians and audiences in Siena’. From 7pm, bearers of diversified experiences are expected: Valeria Mazzola (Rockfactory), the Deschema group, the councilor for youth policies of the Municipality of Siena Micaela Papi, the university podcaster of Uradio Vittoria Burchetti, the deejay Daniel Van Der Fionda. How can we not expect possible solutions to a problem of bureaucracy, men and ideas.
