A year of podcasts. Resto di Bologna says hello. See you in September

A different emotion five days a week. ‘Il Resto di Bologna’, the podcast of the local Carlino editorial team which tells the characters, stories and curiosities of our city, takes its leave until September. But, be careful, lovers of audio narration, for a few more weeks they will be able to listen, every Tuesday on www.ilrestodelcarlino.it/ferrara and www.quotidiano.net, ‘Willy Branchi, the last truth’ by Nicola Bianchi, a great success in addition to the one, just concluded, of ‘I saw the end of the world’, a podcast inspired by the documentary by Valerio Baroncini and Marco Santangelo on the flood that hit Emilia-Romagna a year ago. Everything can always be listened to on our website and on the main platforms, from Spotify to Google and Apple Podcasts.

While waiting for the autumn return of ‘il Resto di Bologna’, therefore, you will not be bored. But it is worth giving an overview of the themes addressed by our reporters who, with the complicity of guests, gave life to this latest season. One of the main novelties was the appointment with ‘Un caffé rossoblù’ by Gianmarco Marchini, which brought experts, former footballers and journalists to take stock, week after week, of Bologna Calcio and the spectacular ride that then, finally, led , to qualify for the Champions League. And then again, the characters told by Benedetta Cucci, such as Giuseppe Bucchi, ‘the lord of fashion’, the stylist Matteo Berton, and the restaurateur Napoleone Neri with the famous Bolognese chefs.

Those who enjoy history will be able to listen again to the epic of the Sferisterio, the arena of a now forgotten game such as the ball with the bracelet, very famous in the nineteenth century, or review the origins of our city, starting from the Etruscans and the legend of Aposa, and continuing with the mystery of the thirteenth gate of Bologna: all with the voice of Andrea Bonzi

Culture and curiosity again with Letizia Gamberini, who introduced us to Lady Scarabocchio, nominated knight of the Republic by Mattarella, and asked Tobia Righi and the Usual Dandy about the legacy left by Lucio Dalla, protagonist of a series of parallel episodes to Ciao’, the event dedicated to the Bolognese singer-songwriter who had great success. There was no lack of current affairs, with insights into construction sites and works in progress, from the Garisenda to the tram and Passante, created by Paolo Rosato and, for example, the debate on the End of Life, created by Rosalba Carbutti, who also recounted the tragic story of Francesca Edera de Giovanni, the first woman shot by fascists. Andrea Zanchi’s historical podcasts are also noteworthy, from the laying of the first stone of the Portico di San Luca, to the narration of the Resistance on the occasion of 25 April, Liberation Day. Finally, Francesco Moroni interviewed experts on smog, an issue that he has been debating all winter, and introduced listeners to the secrets of Goliardia. Finally, Massimo Selleri reminded us of the 40th anniversary of Giacomo Biffi’s appointment as bishop. In short, topics for all tastes, which will return to delight listeners in the autumn.
