He travels between Dubai and Miami and from one continent to another, but his favorite destination is always Barletta. Paola Buonacara maintains a strong bond with her roots. With over 246 thousand followers on social media, the fashion blogger, graduated in Veterinary Medicine, has left Puglia for 27 years now to go to Verona and realize her dream in the world of fashion. And she succeeded.
The dream realized
In 2012 she started her blog “The Mora Smoothie” and has never stopped since. Just like her, her success has not stopped and in recent years she has won numerous awards in the panorama of the international fashion system.
The awards
«The most important for me remains the one delivered to me in Barletta», Buonacara states proudly. In 2017, in fact, she was awarded the title of “Knight of the Challenge”, right in her hometown to seal the relationship with the territory. She continues to cultivate by promoting through her social channels all that is most beautiful that Puglia offers. Between a tutorial on how to make earrings by hand and a shot in the historic center and seaside village of Barletta, there are hundreds of followers who follow her advice and come to visit the Bat cities.
Cooking and memories
«I’m not a cook, I admit it – says the fashion blogger from Barletta – but I enjoy cooking, especially when it comes to preparing panzerotti and focaccia, because they remind me of the aromas and flavors of my childhood».
Buonacara has many memories linked to his Barletta: from summers spent at the seaside to walks through the streets of the historic centre. «Whenever I can I always gladly return home – he says – because my family is there». But her other family, the social one, has expanded over the years to include thousands of people, many of whom have followed her since she began her passion for fashion.
Where it all began
In fact, it all began by publishing photos and videos on how to create original combinations, perhaps even managing to produce or reinvent some accessories. Tutorial after tutorial, she found herself walking the catwalks of international fashion weeks. From haute couture events to those of emerging designers, the fashion blogger from Barletta shares and launches new trends, very often establishing direct contact with those who follow her. Despite her success, however, Buonacara remains down to earth. «My true strength is my roots – she reiterates – and I will never stop being grateful to my city for the affection it continues to show me despite the distance».
