From Capraia to Sassetta, passing through Marciana, Campo nell’Elba, Porto Azzurro and Capoliveri. These are the six municipalities in the province of Livorno included in the possibility of accessing a maximum contribution of 30 thousand euros aimed at purchasing a property, with the obligation to transfer your property to us residence or the usual residence. This is the measure envisaged by the Tuscany Region, as part of the ‘Residentiality in the mountains 2024’ tender, which plans to meet the progressive depopulation of certain areas of our province. In total, there are 76 municipalities included in the list, classified by hardship index. As regards those in the Livorno area, they range from Capraia (88), then Sassetta (84), Marciana (67), Campo nell’Elba (66), Porto Azzurro (65) and Capoliveri (60). All realities, as indicated in the notice, with less than 5 thousand inhabitants. The Region has allocated 2.8 million euros for this measure, the minimum amount that can be requested for each application is 10 thousand euros and the maximum amount is 30 thousand euros. The maximum amount of the contribution – which only concerns properties for residential use – cannot in any case be greater than 50% of the total expenses incurred for the costs connected to the purchase of the property and related appurtenances.

The deadline for submitting applications has been set for July 27th, but what are the requirements? Being an adult, an Italian or EU citizen or a non-EU citizen with a residence permit lasting no less than 10 years, and being resident in an Italian municipality do not apply to the latest official Istat data. The aim of the intervention, as specified in the notice, is precisely to encourage and encourage the repopulation and socio-economic revitalization of mountain areas, acting in contrast to the marginalization of these areas. Natural persons who acquire, after the date of publication on the Burt of the decree approving the tender, i.e. starting from last 12 June, the right of ownership of a property intended for residential use, identified in the land registry as such and already existing, can apply. on the date of publication on the Burt of the decree approving the tender, as documented by a notarial deed of sale or by a judicial deed of transfer of the property (in the case of properties awarded at a judicial auction), including any related appurtenances.
