TERAMO. The name of Filippo Gianfelice as official candidate for the role of president of the Order of Surgeons of the province of Teramo. Gianfelice’s candidacy is promoted in view of the renewal of the council of the Medical Association expected in the autumn.
Gianfelice, an esteemed vascular surgeon who has been operating in the province of Teramo for thirty years, is a member of the national management of Anaao-Assomed. Former company and regional secretary of the union, he is currently national coordinator of the Anaao national observatory for the freelance profession. In Abruzzo he holds the position of member of the joint body for the Alps (intramural freelance activity) and of the Commission for waiting lists.
«The candidacy», we read in a note from Anaao-Assomed, «arises from the need to promote renewal through a gradual transition towards a new council of the Order, no longer crystallized over time, but open to discussion and exchange in the years. The new challenges of the medical profession also see the need to bring the figure of the doctor, whether hospital or local, freelancer or employee or affiliated, back to the center of the healthcare system, as an active and participatory component in the choices and directions of healthcare policy, especially in comparisons with public institutions and other categories of professionals. The corporate and regional secretariats of Anaao, strengthened by the support of their members, reiterate their trust and human, as well as professional, esteem towards a person capable of bringing together and representing all the souls present in the Order as a synthesis among doctors hospitals and doctors in the area.
