The Aprilia stars return to the Marco Simoncelli of Misano for the 2024 edition of the All Starsand with them the Race of Stars makes its debut, a pairs challenge which involved the official riders, Aleix Espargeró and Maverick Vinales, the legends of Noale’s history, as Max Biaggi and Loris Capirossi and the pilot of the satellite team Trackhouse, Miguel Oliveira .
The Portuguese of the Stars and Stripes team was the protagonist, together with his teammate Loris Capirossi, riding the RS 660 Extrema. With the most peppery setup of the Noale road sports car, the Portuguese driver set a time of 1.45″457 in qualifying (almost replicated with a 1.45″739, in the race): “Needless to say, I had a lot of fun battling with Vinales (arrived second. ed.) and with the Extrema. A bike for which a few changes to the suspension would be enough to do even better.”
To be clear, the Standard sister, in trophy configuration. runs on time 1.43″…
TAILOR-MADE FOR EVERYONE BUT STRONG ON THE TRACK
A significant time considering that for the Extreme, and its 100 HP of maximum power, no discount has been made in terms of equipment compared to the standard one. It’s remarkable if you consider that the Noale sports car doesn’t just aim for the pleasure of driving on the track, but expresses its performance skillsespecially in road riding and tailor-made for a various types of motorcyclists: from the most experienced to the novices.
Reading that time on the rankings board, done by a sportswoman certainly not born for the track, shows that the work done by the Venetian technicians was effective considering that the performance recorded at Misano was done on a motorcycle in completely original configuration.
