The Department of Education, Training and Equal Opportunities, with Decree n.999 of 01/29/2024, published the Notice for the financing of regional scholarships aimed at combating dropout and school dropout in Calabria. The initiative, with a financial allocation of € 7,951,200.00aims to promote the completion of studies up to the end of secondary school, orI offer concrete support for the expenses necessary for school attendance. The focus is on supporting students from low-income families, considering fragile socio-economic conditions as a key factor in interrupting their education.

Recipients of the scholarship referred to in this notice are all students residing in the regional territory, attending secondary schools of the national education system, both state and private, and in possession of the requirement referred to in the following paragraph 4 relating to the economic situation. of the family to which they belong.

In any case, students of courses for adults or workers are excluded.

3. Financial allocation

Ministerial Decree n.254 of 22 December 2023 registered at the Court of Auditors on 28 January 2024 n.189 provided for the distribution of the total sum of €39,700,000 between the Regions for the 2023/2024 school year, of which 1,771,608.79 allocated to the Calabria Region.

4. Economic situation requirement and evaluation tool

To be entitled to the provision of the scholarship for the SY 2023/2024, the valid Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator (ISEE), referring to the economic situation of the family to which one belongs, cannot exceed €9,000.00 or current ISEE valid for two months calculated following significant changes in income resulting from changes in the situation

5. Terms and methods for submitting applications

The request for the granting of the scholarship, completed on the appropriate form/application, available at the School Secretariats and/or downloadable from the Internet from the website www.regione calabria it/editore, must indicate the name of the student and be completed by the student if of age or by one of the parents, or by the legal representative.

The application must be received exclusively by the school to which the student belongs and attends no later than 18 June 2024 (the protocol is valid)
