Those arrested, aged between 38 and 52, were accused of persecutory acts and mistreatment of their family members, with episodes that lasted for over twenty years
In the town of Crotone, in recent days, the police have carried out three targeted arrests against individuals residing both in the center and in the surrounding province. GM, a 52-year-old citizen, was the recipient of an arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Court of Crotone, found guilty of family abuse perpetrated over more than two decades.
The second individual involved is AV, a 40-year-old man resident in the city, whose precautionary custody was ordered by the investigating judge at the request of the public prosecutor, following the investigations conducted by the carabinieri of the local station. The accusations concern protracted and obsessive acts of persecution, which have occurred in the last period, always in the city area.
Finally, OC, 38 years old, resident in Isola di Capo Rizzuto, was arrested and transferred to prison by the local police, in compliance with a precautionary custody warrant issued following accusations of physical and verbal abuse against his wife , which occurred in front of the minor children.
The investigative activity, scrupulously conducted by the Crotone Carabinieri, made it possible to identify and place under custody those who perpetrated serious violence within the family context. These arrests demonstrate the authorities’ commitment to combating and repressing domestic violence, ensuring justice and protection for vulnerable victims.
