The activity to combat drug dealing in Crotone by the staff of the General Prevention and Public Aid Office of the Police Headquarters led overall, during two separate services, to the seizure of approximately 50 grams of the substance, and to the reporting of of which one is under arrest, two people.
In Via Gioacchino da Fiore, the attention of the agents of the Flying Squad, engaged in the ordinary control activity of the territory, was attracted by the suspicious presence of a 19-year-old young man, who, subjected to a personal search, was found in possession of some wrappers, containing 31 grams of hashish, ready for sale. The aforementioned was arrested and placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Crotone.
Another service was carried out in Piazzetta Belvedere, where the officers did not miss the gesture of a 25-year-old young man who, at the sight of the police car, suddenly got rid of a wrapper, throwing it into a hedge, which contained three doses of marijuana. The subsequent house search made it possible to find other packages, containing 5 grams of marijuana and 7 grams of hashish, an electronic scale, and material for packaging the doses, as well as the sum of 320 euros, also seized as it was believed to be the proceeds of the drug dealing activity.
The young man was handed over in a state of freedom to the same Judicial Authority for possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances.
