Last appointment before the summer break for the multidisciplinary exhibition of “Umbria Factory Off”, which will end in September. Scheduled for Saturday 8 June, at 9.15pm, at the “Subasio” theater in Spello is the concert by the acoustic, electric and electronic ensemble Ethnet, a multi-ethnic jazz combo of networks, melodies and suggestions inspired by the mix of Western improvisations, timbres and harmonies. An interesting musical formation in which ancient songs and traditional inspirations will merge and contaminate with the here and now of the ensemble, reliving a new authenticity through original arrangements.
Part of it is Manolo Rivaroli, (voice, percussion, bouzouki) singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist; Gabriele Russo, (violin, rebec, nickelharba, voice) co-founder of the musical ensembles Micrologus and Sonidumbra; Francesco D’Oronzo (guitar, live electronics, vocals) collaborator among others with Maurizio Solieri, Marco Masini and Roberto Ciammarughi; Luca Marzetti (bass, double bass, sitar, voice) teacher, composer, multi-instrumentalist and scholar of sitar and Indian music; and Francesco Speziali (percussion, vocals) drummer and percussionist in ensembles and groups with repertoires from pop to rck, from jazz to ethnic and traditional music. Also guests of the evening were Stefania Romagnoli and Elisabetta Brodoloni on vocals.
Sound will therefore once again be the protagonist of the versatile program of events, theatre, dance, music and performing arts shows created by Zut!, which takes place in various municipalities in the area. The event – as mentioned – will then conclude in September with the preview of the new theatrical/installation project by Michele Bandini, developed in collaboration with the artist and architect Maël Veisse.
“Umbria Factory Off” is a multidisciplinary program dedicated to contemporary creation processes and curated by Zut! of Foligno, which every year hosts national and international personalities at the theatre, in historic places, and unconventional spaces to spread the performing arts at 360 degrees.
