CATANIA – The equipped spaces have been prepared by the municipal seaside department of the rocky seafront and on the free municipal beaches of the playa, to encourage free access to the sea, guaranteeing functionality and safety for sunbathers. This was communicated by the Municipality of Catania.
The first to open, on May 30thwas the free beach number 3 “Stromboli”, already frequented by many citizens who are appreciating the many services offered: from showers to lifeguards, from the bar to play areas for adults and children.
At the free beach number 3 of the Plaia in operationfrom Saturday 8 June the number 2 “Vulcano” and the number 3 “Etna” will also be added and will also open to the public tomorrow, earlier than in previous years.
The solariums
On the cliff front on the seafrontthe solarium in Piazza Sciascia, the front of Piazza Europa, will also open on Saturday 8 June, a space that has been enlarged by almost 300 square meters compared to the past and therefore able to accommodate a greater number of people.
Finally, the opening of the long-awaited solarium is set for Saturday 15 June opposite the “Nautico” Polytechnic Institute of the Sea in Viale Artale Alagona, built this year after five years of absence, at the behest of the mayor and the sea councilor with an additional spending commitment of tourist tax resources. At the same time, on the same Saturdaythe solarium and the walkway for disabled people of San Giovanni Li Cuti will also be opened.
