MESSINA – Cateno De Luca breaks the post-European silence. To the request for President Amam’s resignation by the group leader of the Fratelli d’Italia Libero Gioveni, the leader of the South responds by calling the North. Tensions between the Sicilian Region and mayor Basile broke out in April, when the mayor felt he was being bypassed in the choice of artistic directors: “I indicated the names to be included in the Vittorio Emanuele board of directors in mid-October: Oleg Traclò, for the metropolitan city , and the outgoing Lorenzo Scolaro for the Municipality. But, without the decree appointing the Region, it was not possible to proceed with installing the Board of Directors. In six months the regional council has never found the time to hesitate the appointment decree. I take note. Politics sometimes follows other logics. If the Board of Directors had been installed, the voice of the Municipality and the Metropolitan City would have been there.”
