Twelve Macedonians, residing in the province of Treviso, were sentenced to one year of imprisonment for making false statements at a fiscal level to obtain benefits on rent and taxes, all with the help of a consultant from a Caf in Bologna.
The measure comes at the end of the operation Easy Credit, promoted of the financial police of the cprovincial order of Treviso, which allowed 66 people to be reported to the judicial authority of Bologna for undue receipt of payments to the detriment of the State and to identify around 1000 unfaithful tax returns, presented or already completed and waiting to be sent to the agency of revenue, aimed at benefiting from tax credits not due e subsidized rent.
Specifically, the Caf manager, in exchange for compensation, had facilitated the practices of numerous customers, allowing them to receive undue Irpef credits, settled in over two million euros, through the circumvention from 2012 to 2016 of the IT system for “automated control” of tax returns.
For the Bolognese consultant, mastermind and instigator of the criminal conduct, the execution of a provision of confiscation of a propertythe headquarters of his business worth 100 thousand euros, as well as thirty months of imprisonment, for the tax fraud committed in favor of approximately a thousand taxpayers.
The service activity of the Guardia di Finanza of Treviso, developed to combat crimes in the public spending sector, demonstrates the importance of combating tax fraud attacking those responsible also on a patrimonial level, as in this case, in which the property was stolen from the perpetrator of the fraud and has now been passed to the Bologna state property agency, which will be able to use it for public purposes or sell it.
