PRESS RELEASE«Chelsea are delighted to announce that central defender Tosin Adarabioyo will join the club ahead of the 2024/25 season. The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract – which starts on July 1 – and arrives from Fulham. Born in London but raised in Manchester, Tosin began his career with Manchester City at the age of five. He rose through the club’s youth ranks and was regularly captain of the Under-18s at 16. His professional debut came in February 2016 at Stamford Bridge. Tosin started for Manchester City’s youth team in the FA Cup and made a further seven first team appearances over the following two seasons. Season-long loan spells in the Championship with West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers were enjoyed before Tosin finally left Manchester City to join Fulham in October 2020. Tosin’s first season as a Premier League starter yielded 33 appearances and much praise for his adaptation to the top flight. He played for Fulham on 44 occasions the following season and played an important role in securing the club promotion from the Championship. He has made 45 top-flight appearances since Fulham’s return to the Premier League, helping the Cottagers finish 10th and 13th respectively in the last two seasons.”
