This year too, the week of slow and sustainable tourism opens – Slò Fest, from 10 to 15 June – with people and their travel choices at the centre. For the third consecutive year, the Inzir-Travellers in Circle cultural club is organizing a week of events that explore the themes of travel in depth. Riccardo Cattalini president of the Inzir cultural association, Mattia Fiorentini artistic director and the members of the club have decided to aim high by inviting great personalities who have made slow travel a lifestyle.

Slò Fest is characterized by the choice of locations in which the events take place, places rich in history, culture, with great landscape and/or naturalistic value, for the choice to offer every evening the possibility of tasting food and drinks, local wines and beer that represent excellence, small or large production companies that make Romagna a land rich in value.

The first event Monday 10 June will take place in Piazzetta delle Operaie-Ex Fabbrica Battistini a Forlì with Andrea Caschetto winning his personal battle against a brain tumor. Since that day he has dedicated his time to international volunteering projects to spread his “smile therapy”, especially to children. He was named Ambassador of Smiles by the United Nations.

Tuesday 11 June will be dedicated to outdoor walking and cycling activities in the area Castrocaro and Terra del Solethe two groups will meet along the route at a local farm for a snack together. Wednesday 12 June it will be Gianluca Gotto’s turn (at the gardens of the Rocca di Bertinoro) the Italian writer who has lived abroad for some time, in Indonesia. Through his blog Mangia Vivi Viaggia for ten years he has inspired thousands of people to experience the path of personal growth as a journey to be undertaken in full awareness. His five books have become best sellers in the world of lovers of travel and the spiritual path. Gates open at 7.00pm with local wine and beer food trucks (paid event).

Thursday 13 June we return to Forlì in one of the places that hosts Slò Fest every year, the Forlivese Arena in via Giorgio Regnoli with Andrea Nonni, known as The Pillow, is a videomaker from Ravenna who is widely followed on Youtube, who travels around the world in search of stories of people who they made particular life choices and changes.

Friday 14 June to Pievequinta, appointment at 6.00 pm in front of the parish church in via del Cippo 6, with “Ancient parish churches and old residences in the Forlì countryside” walk led by Gabriele Zelli from the Pieve di San Pietro e Paolo of Pievequinta and to Palazzo Morattini. Afterwards, in collaboration with the Cultural and Recreational Volunteering Association “Amici della Pieve ODV”, it will be possible to visit Palazzo Morattini, Via Armelino 33 and participate, upon registration, in Natura Vibrante, a project that promotes psychophysical well-being through vibration and sound concerts ( paid event). The intent of the concerts is to make people experience (through the help of Tibetan bells, Koshi, Gongs, Handpans, Drums) expanded states of awareness and deep relaxation. It is also possible to participate in just one event of the two proposed.

It will all end Saturday 15 June at Spinadello a Forlimpopoli with Omar Conti, aka Il Musicista sul Maggiolone, brings his music aboard a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle to natural and genuine places. He will perform for us on Saturday 15 June in a countryside setting where we can conclude the journey of our Festival in company and surrounded by nature.

The events on Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th and Friday 14th are paid events while places last. On Monday 11th and Thursday 13th the meetings will begin at 7.30pm with Aperitivo Slò, there will be the possibility of having an aperitif tasting local products.
