Replacement buses
Ferrovie specifies that “on the entire route normally open to railway operations (Perugia Sant’Anna – Perugia Ponte San Giovanni – Città di Castello) mobility will be ensured with bus routes which will normally maintain the departure times of the connections from the station of origin Overall there will be 21 bus trips on weekdays and 10 on holidays”. And again: “On the remaining part of the line (Perugia Ponte San Giovanni – Terni) 18 trips per day are confirmed on weekdays and 8 on holidays. In total, 39 buses per day are active on the entire line on weekdays and 18 on holidays. timetable changes will maintain the possibility of interchange between the Ifru line (Umbrian Regional Railway Infrastructure) and the national line in the Perugia Ponte San Giovanni node”.

The works, worth a total of 45 million euros, RFI writes, “will see around 180 people involved, including RFI employees and contracting companies, working on civil works, armament and safety and signaling systems”.
