Franco Venanzia 65-year-old entrepreneur and owner of Venanzieffe in Parabiago, was awarded the honor of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Republic by President Sergio Mattarella: that of Venanzi is one of the «39 honors of Merit of the Republic conferred by the Head of State to people who have distinguished themselves by honoring the values of the Constitution – as underlined by the Prefect of Milan Claudio Sgaraglia during the delivery ceremony at Palazzo Diotti – and have the aim of rewarding the thanks to those who daily with determination and will contribute to achieving the public good in various fields».

Born in Rho, what is now Venanzieffe then moved to Nerviano in the 90s and a decade later, in 2000, it “landed” in Parabiago, where it then purchased the land that currently houses the factories. «The company was created by my father a couple of years before I was born in 1959, he took care of the collection of used oils which were then called burnt oils – says Franco Venanzi -. I I grew up with him and then continued the business: in the 80s, with the first laws on waste, we began to structure ourselves more and more today we work a lot with supply chain consortia and have 80 employees. We found ourselves in the right place at the right time, and we were good at seizing the opportunities that arose.”

Not just a feat, however, behind the honor – “unexpected” for the sole director of Venanzieffe – which Franco Venanzi was awarded: since 2000, in fact, the entrepreneur has been part of the Milan provincial section of UNCI and in recent years it has given its contribution to the Goodness Award which is assigned every year by the association, which in this way supports voluntary associations.
