He is said to be responsible for at least 13 episodes of defacement which have occurred since October last year in Bari, with ‘raids’ against schools and other buildings, including the one at the monumental entrance to the cemetery, and several schools, credit institutions, of unions, cars and Poste Italiane offices. A 33-year-old from Bari, identified by the police, is under investigation for criminal association, damage, defacement and soiling of other people’s property.

The investigations, directed by the Bari Prosecutor’s Office, were conducted by the policemen of the “Puglia” Cyber ​​Security Operations Center with the coordination of the Postal Police and Cyber ​​Security Service.

According to the accusations, several episodes could be traced back to the 33-year-old, including those which occurred: on 13 October 2023 at the monumental entrance of the Bari cemetery located in via Giovanni Laricchia, at the Single Local Health Authority District of via Giulio Petroni at the corner of via Pasubio and on the walls of the Adriatic Bridge via Nazariantz Hrand; on 19 January 2024 at the “Michelangelo” secondary state school located in viale Einaudi, to some Poste Italiane cars parked in the courtyard of the Bari Sud post office located in viale Einaudi, at the regional headquarters and the service center of the UIL union both located in via De Gasperi, on the facade of the Bari 18 post office, as well as on a wall of a pharmacy located on Corso Benedetto Croce; on 6 April 2024 at the Poggiofranco-T Comprehensive Institute. The actions were carried out by creating writings with red paint referring to the “ViVi” protest movement, a group that originally stood out for its opposition to the vaccination campaigns carried out especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Over time, the protest against the established institutional and democratic order has also addressed other issues such as the “2030 Agenda” and “digital identity” and, in general, towards political choices considered to be liberticidal.

The man was reached by a search warrant, following which computer equipment of investigative interest, as well as jars, were found and seized. spray cans of red paint and fire extinguishers modified to use the paint itself, wigs and other clothing used to camouflage themselves while carrying out the actions. At the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, three other search decrees were carried out at the same time by the Postal Police, against as many subjects resident in the provinces of Bari and Lecce, investigated for the same crimes; mobile phones and computer equipment were found and seized and will be subjected to analysis.
