The plane for the USA takes off on July 2nd and 9 days later she will undergo heart surgery at the Boston Children’s Hospital, a highly specialized facility.
The solidarity marathon continues to support Raffaela, 15 years old, student of the “Ettore Majorana” Scientific High School, affected since birth by a complex congenital heart disease whose only hope of recovery is represented by that very economically demanding cardiac surgery.
So far the “Give a heartbeat of love for Raffy” fundraiser has totaled 272,025 euros and the goal is 280 thousand.
The last sprint for tomorrow, Saturday 8 June, when the “Friends and Family Run” will be held, an amateur run/walk for friends and families.
This is an initiative organized by the Guidonia 3 Scout Group of Colle Fiorito in collaboration with the Association “Il cuore tra le mani Aps”, “Roma Stone” and the Italian Red Cross Committee of Guidonia Montecelio.
The event is sponsored by the municipal administration.
Appointment at 8.20 am in the “La Sorgente” residential center in Colle Fiorito to collect the race numbers, departure scheduled for 9 am.
In addition to the race, there will be creative workshops for children, play stands, food and story points, a magic show and mascots. Finally lunch with delicious sandwiches.
At 11 am the awards ceremony: first place will receive 10 entrances to the “Tivoli Park” swimming pool, second place will receive a weekly pass with entry to the “Manianpama” gym, third place will receive an entry for a free swimming/aquagym lesson also at the “Manianpama”.
All proceeds will be donated to the “Give a heartbeat to Raffy” initiative.
