Two highly attended events enliven the Forlì weekend. There Beer Festival in Vecchiazzano, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, combines gastronomy, music and fun for everyone, with over 30 food stands with the best local beers, shows and a children’s area: on Friday the Modena City Ramblers will be on stage. An expected return is that of “Birrandello” which promises fun, good food, but above all rivers of German beer and music, among others, with Meganoids. Then there is the return from the Frog and polenta festival in Vecchiazzano: dinner appointment to taste the typical Romagna dishes, fish and the famous frogs.

There is also space for sport. The BRN Village in Forlimpopoli turns one: 3 days of sport, music and fun in which there will be athletes from the Italian National BMX team, who will involve all participants in a real free camp to introduce kids to the world of this specific cycling discipline. While the inauguration of the Airbag Jump inflatable will be held on Saturday afternoon, there will be music. Here are the events from Friday to Sunday.

Theater and surroundings

The Tetar’ok Preparatory Theater Workshop for Adolescents meets on Friday at the Maria Graffiedi Theater in Vecchiazzano with the show The innkeeper by Carlo Goldoni, directed by Stefano Naldi, study show for theatrical techniques and dynamics, with the participation of the dance groups Young and Coreography of New Dance Studio. The Ca’Ossi Tent Theater presents the 2024 comedy festival: on Saturday the appointment is with the best of Duilio Pizzocchi, Bolognese face of television but also cinematographic comedy, in the Parish of S. Pio Somewhere else returns to the Bidente valley with one of its shows on Saturday, in the small hamlet of Biserno in the municipality of Santa Sofia: as always the show will be free, especially for the following snack, booking on the Altrove Teatro dal Vero social channels is highly recommended.

ForliMusica closes the small musical review of events related to the large exhibition “Pre-Raphaelites Modern Renaissance” with “The angelic trumpet” Friday at the Teatro Verdi in Forlimpopoli: on stage the “Fiati Gloriosi” Marco Muzzati baroque timpani, psaltery and reciting voice, natural trumpets and historical cornets: Michele Santi (concertor), Bruno Bocci, Martina Dainelli, Marco Tampieri. A special party on Friday, dedicated to a deceased musician, Enrico d’Eusebio: “He who lives upside down doesn’t go underground”, Orbettino in festa takes place at Casa di Luca in Forlì, markets and music with Kissene Folk, Tizio Bononcini, Duo Baguette, Toco Sinti, Musicanti Improvvisi, Fola Balaréna, Irene Rugiero, Mosilicata. From “Such a shame” to “Maniac”, from “Born to be alive” to “Maybe because I love you”, the Meteor they return live with the best hits of the 80s, to all relive those magical years together by singing at the top of their lungs at the Black Sheep club in Forlì. However, the association’s project is nearing completion No.Vi.Art: some young and very young people from different music schools in Forlì, and in particular from CosaScuola Music Academy, met for over three months and under the guidance of the maestros Gioele Sindona and Giuseppe Zanca, they put their skills as musicians to the test and as a group. Finally their application and their efforts can be shared with the public on Sunday at the Sala Sangiorgi of the Angelo Masini Foundation.

Discovering the territory

Bertinoro dedicates a day to discover – or rediscover – Dante’s places and characters in its own territory, on Sunday, starting from the Hospitality Column and then following the route of the Danteinoro itinerary, created by the Municipality of Bertinoro on the occasion of the seventh centenary. Plural Landscapes, the public art festival, also of the Municipality of Bertinoro, finally comes to life with the arrival of the artists: on Sunday in Piazza Colitto in Fratta Terme the community will welcome the Roman painter and street artist Alessandra Carloni with a welcome dinner. For those who want to dedicate themselves to discovering sustainable and waste-free cuisine, the last event will be held on Sunday in Spinadello “Ode to Spring”a walk to discover aromatic herbs, edible flowers and edible plants that can be found this season in our Romagna countryside. Rocca delle Caminate can be visited again by the public during the weekend: for all those who go up to the fortress for the visit, the cultural itinerary is available, consisting of 24 panels, divided into two parts: the first tells the thousand-year-old history from the origins, while the second focuses on on the events of the twentieth century.

On show

The exhibition is open at San Domenico in Forlì Pre-Raphaelites. Modern Renaissancedirected by Gianfranco Brunelli and edited by Elizabeth Prettejohn, Peter Trippi, Francesco Parisi and Cristina Acidini: through approximately 300 works including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, furniture, ceramics, glass and metal works, fabrics, medals, books illustrated books, manuscripts and jewels, the exhibition will tell this story by placing for the first time, thanks to the generous loans granted by European museums, a substantial representation of Italian models, including works by ancient masters, with British works.

The photographic exhibition is open at the Zondini Caffè Gallery “It was May 16, 2023…” by Tiziana Catani and Dervis Castellucci, who used photography to engrave in the memory the indelible traces of a sad past to be overcome with everyone’s commitment and with unfailing faith in the future. From the desire to roll up one’s sleeves to rebirth: synthesis of the flood experienced in the field. The exhibition has already opened its doors “Disfigured Romagna”, created by the photographer Silvia Camporesi, at the Sala del Palazzo del Monte di Pietà: the exhibition of the photographer from Forlì is proposed on the occasion of the anniversary of the flood. Recent and unpublished photos are on display, the result of the “Romagna disfigured” project, together with the re-presentation of photos from the “Submerged people saved” exhibition hosted at the former seminary last autumn. In continuity, another exhibition of unpublished photographs by Silvia Camporesi, dedicated to the “Franco Agosto” urban park, at the Dino Zoli Foundation: Fragile Sublime returns part of the work dedicated by the artist to the theme of flooding and hydrogeological instability. The Mazapégul Brewery hosts the photographic exhibition “In bloom. Charles Peterson’s Nirvana” edited by Ono Arte, to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain, undisputed icon of the grunge movement, through the shots of the band’s official photographer.
