And it promises to be an exciting and explosive weekend. Anastasia Insabella is doing great in the European Junior and Under 23 championships currently taking place in Bratislava (Slovakia). The fourteen-year-old from Jomar Club Catania, in the Junior category with athletes older than her, was able to reach the finals in both the K1 1,000 meters (tomorrow, starting at 10:03) and in the K1 over the Olympic distance of 500 meters (Sunday, 10:01).
Anastasia Insabella is the youngest athlete of all time to win 2 finals at the European championships. The entire Catania Canoe Club is proud of the very young canoeist, who is providing strong emotions. Meanwhile, the Catania team is also preparing for Sunday’s races. At Lake Nicoletti (Enna) the regional event is scheduled for the Boys, Junior and Senior categories plus the Canoagiovani circuit.
