BRINDISI – Valtur Brindisi announces that it has signed the athlete Giovanni Vildera, a 205 cm Italian center born in Montebelluna on March 4, 1995. The player is tied to the white and blue club with an agreement valid until June 30, 2026.
Vildera is fresh from winning the A2 playoffs and consequent promotion to Serie A with Pallacanestro Trieste, a goal achieved as an absolute protagonist and top scorer in the decisive game 4 with 20 points and 4 rebounds on the scoresheet. Over thirty minutes on the court per game in the final series against Cantù, averaging 10.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in the four final challenges that were decisive in decreeing the return of the Trieste club to the top division.
Raised in the youth teams of Petrarca Basket and Reyer Venezia, two Under19 championship finalists in orogranata, he has gained great experience over the years in Serie A2 wearing the jerseys of Omegna, Siena, Biella Rieti, where he holds the rank of captain with 11.3 points and 6.7 rebounds on average, Ferrara and Trieste. The call to Serie A comes in 2020/21 from Treviso and subsequently in the 2022/23 season from Trieste.
