“The only embarrassment we really feel is having to offer the citizens of Benevento such a petty political dialectic. From the opposition we will expect, at least on projects that can produce development and economic benefits for the territory, a comparison based on factual data. It is not the future of Benevento that should be obstructed. We blame, and we will say it clearly in the Chamber, this obsessive aversion towards a private initiative, for which the Municipality spends zero euros, which will only generate tourism-sports, environmental and employment benefits for the city”, they say in a note the majority group leaders in Benevento in response to a note from the minority.
“However, since this is the framework, then let’s clarify some procedural data: no changes to the Program Agreement, only realignments with respect to what emerged during the Services Conference, the Vas procedure and the provisions of the Province. The unitarity of the intervention is out of question, both in its conception and in its timing: it must be implemented solely through the presentation of a unitary PUA within 48 months”.
“We continue to pretend not to understand an elementary concept: the public interest is based on the tourist, environmental and employment value of the project, certainly not on the timing of the timetable. Just as it is truly trivial to accuse politics of delegating decisions to managers, everyone works with respect for their roles and respective skills: in this case too, councilor Chiusolo from the first moment did a punctual and effective job to illustrate and define the technical outlines of an intervention that the entire majority believes in due to the many positive effects it will have on the city”.
