VITERBO – Many gathered in the conference room of the Terme dei Papi to meet the candidate for the European elections Roberto Vannacci and also talk about his latest book: “Courage wins” . A book that delves into and explains what “certain press” misinterpreted in the candidate’s first volume, “The world in reverse“.
“I felt the need to return to some themes covered in The World in Reverse, because many sentences had been decontextualized and misinterpreted both by citizens and by certain press“. “I have never denied what I wrote in the first book – continues the candidate– , but I clarified. Many haven’t even read it. We need to recover that segment of society that was still undecided about me and perhaps I succeeded”.
After the publication of his first book, disciplinary proceedings were initiated for him by decision of Minister Crosetto, due to “lack of sense of responsibility” and damage to the principle of neutrality/third party of the Armed Forces“.
Vannacci is clear. “In the military, no one is left behind. I have no relationship with the minister. I was accused before I even understood the causes just for expressing my opinions. For this reason I went on the counterattack and appealed to the TAR“.
Criticisms of homophobia and racism
“There are differences: there are men and women, children and adults. But if we point it out it means that we discriminate. We cannot ignore differences but we must exalt them and sanction discrimination. Saying that a person is black or white is not discrimination, indeed recognizing diversity is a necessary act because it paints reality, instead they are pushing us into the non-recognizability of differences. I have spent my life defending populations with skin and culture different from mine. Could it ever be possible for him to be racist?”.
