“I will go to Chiasso to train – confirms Tommaso Cordiano –. It wasn’t a simple decision, but I decided to accept a project that in my opinion is very valid both from the point of view of the growth of young people and above all for my maturation at a coaching level. Chiasso is a solid company, which collaborates with larger companies such as Lugano, and I believe that certain trains only pass once. Of course, if I look at the other side of the coin I can only regret leaving my teammates and my youth players in Varese, but I believe I made the right choice at this precise moment in my life and career.“.
If the path as a coach is well traced, the path as a player is still to be defined: “If it had been up to me I would have more than willingly stayed in Varese, but it is clear that with such a commitment I would not have been able to guarantee my presence 100% and I respect the choice made by the club. I leave a wonderful group and a fantastic fan base that will always be in my heart: I will continue my playing career elsewhere, either in Switzerland or in another IHL team, who knows… I haven’t decided yet. However, I wanted to thank Varese at all levels because it was a very important stage in my life“.
