There Regional conference to Lombardy Palace on the local public transport for a comparison in view of new times who will leavenext June 9th: times will in fact change due to works on the network scheduled for the summer.
The point of the situation will concern the evolution of the railway offer, the interruptions on the lines and the activations planned by the network managers.

The event, coordinated by the Regional Councilor for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, was attended by, among others, representatives of Trenorth, Northern Railways And RFIThe provincial bodies, representatives of the capital municipalitiesthe TPL agencies, representatives of consumer and traveler associations, public transport company associations and representatives of trade unions.
“A fruitful meeting – underlined the regional councilor for Transport and Sustainable Mobility – which once again highlighted the commitment of the Lombardy Region in offering an increasingly efficient service tailored to the needs of travellers. In agreement with Trenord, we have strengthened the service on numerous railway lines, with the expansion of the number of trips especially during the busiest times but also in relation to non-systematic trips such as holidays for tourist use”.
Interventions for a modern railway system
The Regional Transport Councilor adds: “A notable effort, even given the summer interruptions due to the infrastructure interventions planned by RFI and FerrovieNord. Works that the Lombardy Region will continue to monitor, in the certainty that they will be preparatory to a modern and functional railway system, to the benefit of the service offered to commuters”.
The local railway service is constantly evolving and growing: according to recent data as of 31 May 2024 the service has already seen the introduction of 162 new trains (87 Caravaggio, 48 Donizetti and 27 Colleoni), for an overall advancement of 76% compared to the 214 total trains that will revolutionize the entire regional fleet by December 2025.
