Nick Scali and that encouragement for the future of Reggio Calabria

For someone, Nick Scali to Reggio Calabria he is a legend. A bit like Roberto Baggio seen at the Land Registry. But in reality, just like the Divine Pigtail, it was all true for Nick Scali too. Weeks of talks with Lillo Fotitravel to Australia, press conferences. Then the sentence of Falcomata (“we don’t want new Manenti”) and black smoke. The rich entrepreneur from Reggio Emilia, who has worked in Australia all his life, was the first big opportunity missed by the city in the sporting field. I wish you success and approval for your project which could be an invitation to other national and international entrepreneurs to participate in the development of Reggio Calabria. Many regards, Nick Scali, Sydney, Australia”.

The Australian entrepreneur, in his message, underlines his hope for a new Administration with ambitious people and development ideas. And, among other things, it does not fail to highlight the neglected and poorly managed natural beauties. He knows this well, Nick Scali, precisely because of what happened – as written above – a few years ago. And even today, just as then – when he was one step away from taking over the Reggina – the Administration hinders entrepreneurs who want to invest in the city. How many opportunities does Reggio Calabria still have to miss? Trains have passed, and many, but they won’t pass forever…
