VIAREGGIO – Assembly of all the seaside resorts of Versilia at the Palace Hotel convened by FdI deputy Riccardo Zucconi. The road to avoiding the concession auctions (which expired on December 31st) which will have to start by the end of the year is increasingly narrower.
We will have to wait at least until September to see the age-old issue of beach concessions resolved. Riccardo Zucconi, Lido member of Fratelli d’Italia, Secretary of the Presidency of the Chamber and considered very close to Prime Minister Meloni, outlined the road map for trade representatives from all over Versilia, called together on Monday evening in Viareggio.
The European elections and above all the composition of the new Commission in the following months are the real watershed. Only when the balance of power in Europe will be defined will the Government understand whether – to save the seaside resorts from the auctions at the end of the year – it can insist or not on the path of coastal mapping, currently at a dead end, and therefore proceed with the reorganization law of the sector. In the meantime, net of the reckless appeal to the Constitutional Court against the anti-extension rulings of the Council of State that will be presented, the only measure in the pipeline is that of compensation for outgoing concessionaires, already provided for by the Draghi law and desired by Zucconi himself .
Tiredness and anger can be seen in the faces of beachgoers, while the Municipalities prepare the tender procedures at the beginning of a difficult season, because it could be the last.
